Brief Autobiography

Emma, born on June 7, 1950, in Castellanza (Varese).

Classical studies, medical degree, specialist in Anaesthesiology.

Humanitarian and development projects since 1978, with experiences in Northern Kenya, at the Hôpital Albert Schweitzer in Haiti, in Juba (Southern Sudan).

In Khartoum, on 15th May 1988, involved in a terrorist attack to the Akropole Hotel, coming out unharmed by a miracle.

The path winds through the Andean Bolivia, then in an Emergency Project during the war in Somalia, towards a new landing in the Andean-Amazonian region, in solidarity with the peasants’ communities, shaded by the sacred green Coca, running micro projects of health, education, social commitment, with emphasis in the values of indigenous  culture.

Since 2007 back in Italy, serving in medical activities for the elderly and disabled people, in the valleys above Lake Maggiore, closing circles, to open new ones, with renewed sparkling passion towards the studies of languages and the challenging play of words and images.

Obviously there is much more … from the many experiences of the life’s paths, but everything at its time … if and when it will be appropriate…
